About
I am currently attending Lamar University pursing a Masters in Education Administration. I am extremely excited about my future goal of becoming a Principal. I have received a Bachelors of Science degree in Early Childhood education. While working as a first grade teacher I have taken many leadership roles. I am currently team leader of my first grade team and have enjoyed mentoring as well as guiding my team to a successful year. Also, I have started an Ambassador program on my campus which mentors young African American and Hispanic boys. The programs mission is to mentor young men, by helping them develop an appreciation of education, develop character, integrity and build self-efficacy. I believe in the greatness within our children, we as educators and administrators have the responsibility to encourage them to activate the greatness within.
