About
I am a graduate of Southern Illinois University however, I have attended many Community Colleges and Universities on the way to my B.S. I served 20 years in the Army as both an enlisted Soldier and an Officer. Upon my retirement in 2009 I was able to achieve my goal of becoming a teacher. I have been the Senior Army Instructor for President William McKinley High School in Honolulu Hawaii. I have received a few accolades for my performance but the most meaningful to me are from the cadets. I am currently in the Educational Leadership and Policy Masters program at the University of Texas at Arlington.

Tiger Pride Award
The Tiger Pride award was created at McKinley High School to recognize outstanding contributors to the school who could not be recognized in the schools Hall of Honor because they graduated from another school. I was the 4th ever to be awarded the Award.

Outstanding Educator
Every year one teacher is recognized for their efficiency and contributions to out student population. In the 2012-2013 SY I was awarded the McKinley High School Outstanding Teacher Award

Instructor Bronze Award
The United States Army Cadet Command recognizes the best instructors from across the nation each year. In 2014 I received the Bronze Award for successes as the Senior Army Instructor at McKinley High School

I am interested in a few things such as continuing as the SAI in the JROTC program, becoming a principal, teaching at the college level or becoming a curriculum developer / trainer in the private sector.
