About
My educational journey has been a long one. My youngest daughter is diabetic. Her journey with diabetes has not been easy. In the beginning she was classified as a brittle diabetic. In between hospital stays and during times when she was under control, I worked and went to school. During one hospital stay we had the misfortune of having a nurse that was so mean and disrespectful, that I had to have her removed from my daughter’s care. That is the moment that I decided to pursue nursing. My goal was to never make a family feel the way that nurse made me feel. I graduated with my Associates in Nursing in 2019. COVID has made nursing a little harder but I enjoy my job. I am continuing my education because I want to be the best nurse that I can be. To accomplish that, I need education. Healthcare is continually changing. I want to keep up with those changes.
