Goals and interests
- Career goal
I plan to enter the field as a small animal general practitioner. I hope to complete a rotating small animal internship following graduation in order to enhance my medical and surgical skillsets on complex cases. As a general practitioner, I hope to offer advanced treatment for animals with complex medical issues, especially if owners cannot afford specialty care. My ultimate goal is to practice in a privately owned small animal hospital that is integrated within the community and provides services to owners coming from all different types of backgrounds. Everyone should be able to own and care for an animal in my opinion, and I hope to make that possible as a veterinarian.
- Graduate school interests
I am currently pursuing my doctorate of veterinary medicine. I have a wide range of interests involving small animal medicine and surgery, specifically including cardiology, internal medicine, and endocrinology.
- Outside the classroom
Outside of school and work, I love to run, read, and go on hikes exploring new trails with my dog.
