About
Hello. My name is Courtney Shelley and I am a second semester Medical Assistant student at NTCC in Mount Pleasant, Texas. I have two kids ages 2 and 3 who are my reason for going back to school to achieve my goal. I previously attended Blinn College in Bryan, Texas during 2010-2014 where I studied nursing. I made it to my last semester in nursing school and failed a course and was not allowed to continue in the program. I am pursuing a medical assistant certificate because I love the medical field. I also like the idea of working 8am-5pm Monday- Friday which is very different from a nursing position schedule.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
I intend on getting a job as a medical assistant either in a family clinic or pediatric clinic. I love working with people and feel this is the right path for me. I do intend on bridging from MA-BSN eventually when my kids are more grown up.

I love being outside and love spending time with my family.
