I have over 17 years of experience as a certified Medical Technologist (ASCP) in hospital laboratory settings and over 16 years of experience as a registered nurse. Areas of professional medical technologist work include routine hematology, special hematology (body fluid analysis, assist with bone marrow collection, etc.), coagulation studies, routine urinalysis, microbiology, and blood banking. Areas of professional nursing include medical/surgical nursing, operating room circulating nurse, oncology nursing, home care nursing, and prison nursing. I also have over nine years of experience as a health coordinator of adult education medical programs. I am experienced in teaching nursing assistant classes, phlebotomy classes, required classes for support staff of developmentally disabled clients, and medical assisting students' clinical laboratory skills. I also have two years of experience as an outside sales representative for medical equipment and supplies.
