About
As a student pursuing a master's degree in social work, I have a strong desire to support underprivileged communities, especially youth and families that are affected by trauma, poverty, and substance abuse. As a parent of four, including a child with special needs, I understand resilience firsthand. My goal is to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to serve my community through mental health support, school-based services, and policy advocacy. I believe in leading with integrity, empathy, and purpose.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
School Social Worker or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), focusing on trauma-informed care, youth development, and family systems, particularly within underserved and rural communities.
- Graduate school interests
I'm working on my Master of Social Work (MSW) to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I'm really passionate about helping youth and families, especially those dealing with trauma, poverty, or substance use. I'm currently focused on school social work and mental health support, but one of my biggest goals is to one day open my own private practice. My goal is to establish a secure environment that provides bilingual and culturally sensitive therapy to underserved communities, particularly those in rural areas.
- Outside the classroom
I love spending time with my kids, volunteering for youth football, Queen Dz Dance Studio, and participating in school events, and using Canva to create flyers or infographics. I also enjoy journaling, singing (music), and taking nature drives to clear my mind. I'm big on family time, self-growth, and giving back to my community whenever I can.
