About

I'm Cristina Tzintzún, pursuing a Biology degree with an Environmental Science minor at Texas A&M International University, set to graduate in December 2024. I immigrated to the United States at 16, fleeing threats in Mexico, and have since overcome significant challenges including learning English and adapting to a new culture. My academic excellence is evidenced by my place on the Dean's List and membership in the English Honor Society. My commitment extends beyond academics, with over 80 hours of medical volunteering, experience in COVID control measures and medical coding, and ongoing community service.
Despite financial hardships, I've supported myself through work while maintaining my studies. My passion for environmental conservation, rooted in my childhood experiences in Mexico, drives my academic and career goals. My achievements include providing bilingual tutoring services and receiving recognition for professional development.
