Goals and interests

Career goal

I intend to pursue a career as a school psychologist or guidance counselor, with a strong focus on supporting students' emotional and academic well-being. My passion stems from personal experience. Growing up, I often wished for someone who could truly listen and guide me through difficult times. Today, that experience fuels my commitment to be that advocate and steady support for young people.
With my background in special education and a deep understanding of mental health challenges, I aim to create safe, inclusive spaces where all students feel seen, heard, and valued. Long-term, I aspire to lead initiatives that prioritize mental health within school communities and ensure every student has access to the resources they need to succeed.

Graduate school interests

At UMGC, I am pursuing Clinical Professional Counseling with a focus on working with children, adolescents, and families. I am especially interested in trauma-informed care, school-based mental health, and advocating for students with disabilities and diverse needs.
My goal is to apply what I learn to help young people build resilience, feel truly seen and supported, and navigate the challenges they face with confidence and hope.
