My name is Daniel Barker and I live in Albany, Oregon. I am a hobby farmer and foster parent. I have 8 children that I am raising along with the tireless support of my wife, Jen. I am currently working toward my MSW (Master's in Social Work) degree at UK and I plan on getting my LCSW licensure so that I can offer mental health services to adolescents in my community. I am set to graduate in spring, 2024 and I am really looking forward to completing my Master's degree!

I assist the Executive Director with tangible needs for foster families. I help procure and deliver goods to needy families in the tri-county area (Linn, Benton, and Lincoln counties in Oregon). I also assist with hosting "meet and greet" events geared toward recruitment of resource parents to help with the growing population of foster youth who need suitable housing and love in these local communities. Lastly, I help with "foster appreciation" activities which are a "give back" to local foster families.
