Daniel Holmes

My name is Dan Holmes Jr. a former United Sates Army veteran served from 1993 to 1996, and enlisted as a Missile Launch Repair technician ( MLRS ) because of my strong interest in electronics and wanted to serve my country. I was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma and my family moved to Tampa, Florida in 1976 because my father was a Coast Guard Officer and was assigned at a base near Tampa, Florida. In addition, my father was a Hillsborough County police officer and being a police officer's son he taught me very strong work ethics and never give up on your goals. I graduated from Bloomingdale High School in 1990, joined the Army in October 1993, served in S. Korea and Fort Sill, Oklahoma. As you can recognize in my summary I started college later in life, but that does not discourage me in anyway. The military experience I went through taught me so much about foreign issues, politics, different cultures, our country's military history, and the strong will needed to apply in life. I started working as a technician at a coax cable plant after completing my enlistment term on April 1996. Now after many years gone by my goal is to pursue a two year college degree and currently operate a small business in the Chattanooga area. Furthermore, the main objective is to finally achieve my goal to obtain and receive a two year degree in which years past I was not unable to complete.
