About

Hello, my name is Danielle Haddix. I was born in Bend, OR but moved when I was only five years old. My family moved to Turner, where I grew up, going to school at Cascade High School. Living in a rural area sparked interest in me to operate my own farm. Since the time I was little, I knew I wanted to go to OSU. I graduated High School in 2016 as one of the valedictorians with a GPA of 4.2. I followed my dream to OSU; however, I am in the Degree Partnership Program that they offer with Linn Benton Community College. I currently take classes at both schools and live from home for financial reasons. I am a hard worker and very dedicated to my education and future.

Goals and interests

Career goal

As mentioned in the summary box, it has been my dream to start a farm. I grew an interest in honeybees around sophomore year of high school. I think that it would be wonderful to manage and own a bee operation; however, I have kept an open mind to all agricultural career paths. Being a first-year student, I find myself with more than enough time and experience ahead to figure out what I want to put my education towards. Seeing as I am from the Willamette Valley, I may even take an interest to vineyards.

Outside the classroom

I love the snow; I grew up skiing and recently learned how to snowboard. I like to bake on occasion. I also love all things that have to do with crafts and creativity.
