Every individual should have the opportunity to pursue an education that reflects what they are passionate about. I believe that a degree opens door to newer, superior opportunities but the reality is that not everyone have the opportunity to pursue one. About twenty-one years ago my dream of completing a college education was cut short and I was force to venture into the “real world”. I promised myself that I will return and complete my four-year degree but as time went by I never got around to do it.

Finding time to study and attend college is a very difficult task for a non-traditional student. You have to find the time away from work to complete your homework on time, prepare for quizzes and exams, adjust to the newer technologies, and take care of your family. Furthermore for most of us, it is not just about attending college but most importantly is about being successful in and out the classroom. You have to keep in your mind that the more education you obtain, the more valuable you become.
