Darciea Houston

I am an engaged learner who strives to earn knowledge through research. My undergraduate experiences at Paul Quinn College were very rich and hearty. I earned the opportunity to participate in DukeImmerse; I was accepted by the lead professors who taught at The Nicolas School of the Environment. Some of the topics were: ecological restoration, environmental racism, social injustice, community planning and outreach. An additional experience took place when I was chosen to participate in Penn GSE's Minority Serving Institutions (MSI) versus Predominately White Institution research project. I would like to endure the academic process necessary to live within my purpose. By default, I'm an innovative visionary who foresees a career in the study of melanin, holistic health and education.
