Darren Le

My name is Darren Le, and I am a multidisciplinary designer with a strong foundation in communication design and a growing focus on branding, UI/UX, and digital storytelling. My design journey began in Vietnam, where I first fell in love with drawing and visual communication during high school. After moving to New York in 2018, I earned my AAS and BFA in Communication Design at City Tech before beginning graduate studies at CCNY. Along the way, I’ve developed a portfolio that blends digital design, motion graphics, marketing, and brand strategy. From interning at City Tech’s OpenLab and Information Design departments, where I created digital content and engagement strategies, to working on fashion and visual design projects at KIC NYC, I’ve grown into a designer who is comfortable at the intersection of creativity, technology, and purpose. In my recent work, I’ve explored how inclusive, research-informed design can shape better digital experiences. I’m especially interested in projects that prioritize community engagement, accessible branding, and authentic storytelling. Whether using Adobe Creative Suite, prototyping interfaces in Figma, or studying HTML and PHP, I aim to build work that is both meaningful and functional. I’ve also balanced school with jobs outside the classroom, from working as a cashier to leading student projects. Designs and branding are more than a career for me. They’re how I understand and shape the world. I hope to continue contributing to teams that champion equity, creativity, and innovation in brands and designing.
