Goals and interests

Career goal

My intended job path is to become a Family Nurse Practitioner focused on providing comprehensive, patient-centered care across the lifespan. I plan to work in an outpatient primary care or specialty clinic, with a long-term goal of serving underserved populations and improving access to care in my community. As I advance in my career, I aspire to integrate my experience in emergency and infusion nursing into a collaborative, preventative care model that promotes wellness, health education, and continuity of care. Eventually, I hope to open a community-based clinic or pursue further specialization in neurology or pain management to better serve those with chronic conditions.

Graduate school interests

My graduate studies are focused on becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner, with a passion for integrating evidence-based care and preventative health into clinical practice. I am especially interested in primary care, neurology, and pain management, as these fields allow me to address complex chronic conditions while improving quality of life for diverse patient populations. Additionally, I have a growing interest in entrepreneurial healthcare, including mobile IV therapy and community-based services that increase access to care for underserved areas. Grad school has not only deepened my clinical knowledge but has also strengthened my drive to lead change, mentor future nurses, and one day pursue advanced roles such as DNP or CRNA.

Outside the classroom

Outside of nursing and academics, I find joy in spending quality time with my family, especially my husband and our Akita, Yoshi. I enjoy cooking, exploring new recipes, and creating cozy moments at home. To stay balanced and energized, I also enjoy walking, light fitness routines, and learning about personal finance and wellness. When time allows, I love traveling, discovering new cultures, and capturing meaningful moments through photography. These hobbies keep me grounded, inspired, and connected to the things that matter most in life.
