About

I am an ambitious young man with high self motivation and a desire to accomplish great things. Throughout my life I was taught to strive to do my very best at each and every task I faced. This very important lesson that I learned at a young age has allowed me to accomplish many goals, skills sets, and other achievements. I am now in the midst of working toward a goal that I esteem to be the most important of all my previous endeavors: my education. I am studying at Southern Polytechnic State University and plan on transferring to Georgia Institute of Technology by 2016. At Georgia Tech I plan on receiving an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering and a graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering. I will also pursue a minor in Business and in French
I will continue to work with different companies through the Co-op program in order to gain valuable experience in different fields. I will then pursue a career in which I can use my abilities and talents to create solutions to problems that will benefit my country. One career field that I am very interested in is research and engineering for the Department of Defense.

Goals and interests

Career goal

It is my goal to work for the Department of Defense in such ares as defense research and invention of new technology/weaponry.

Graduate school interests

I will most likely get my undergraduate degree in EE, my graduate degree in ME, a minor in business, and a minor in French.
That is unless I am advised to do something more challenging that will be a better option for a career.

Outside the classroom

All of my hobbies directly relate to my degrees.
I love to design and create inventions that solve some problem that all people experience. Ever since I made my first invention (an electronic device that detected earthquakes) when I was in 4th grade I have enjoyed tinkering with electrical components and mechanical devices. Ever since 5th grade I have loved taking things apart (anything as small as an analog watch up to a motor vehicle) to either repair or just see how the components work together. My interest in how things work and my interest in creating solutions with different inventions of mine is what has lead me to pursue engineering. I am actually working on submitting an application for a patent on a design I have created. After I am familiar with the patent application process I plan on patenting and marketing several other designs I have.
