About
Hello, my name is David Rivera, and I am from College Station, Texas. I come from two hard working parents, who I thank dearly for the long lasting impact they've had on my life. Through their love, care, patience, and encouragement, I was able to obtain qualities that have lead to me becoming a successful college student. They have imbedded into my brain the importance of getting a good education, and to always strive to do my absolute best. I am currently taking hours at Blinn Junior College, that will transfer towards a Bachelors degree in Business Administration at Sam Houston State University. In order for a student to be successful, while both inside and outside of the classroom, he or she must consistently maintain the work ethics necessary. Success doesn't occur as a result of luck or a mistake. Which is why persistence, preparation, and sacrifices play a large role in whether or not a student will succeed or fail. My unofficial transcript reads with a 4.0 GPA for the Fall 2016 semester. This occurred as a direct result of the qualities mentioned above. My achievements didn't fail to go unrecognized, as I was able to have been named to Blinn's prestigious presidents scholar list; however, I realize that I cannot allow my previous success to hinder my preparation in the future. I will continue to apply myself, and demand nothing less of perfection.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
I plan on becoming a Corporate Lawyer, while profiting from numerous investments both during and after the process of becoming one is complete. I eventually would like to start my own law firm, and use my individual earnings to purchase and build on property's throughout the Bryan/College Station area. I consider myself an open minded individual. Who strongly believes College Station will or should, expand outward towards the surrounding cities. With this, I plan on profiting by building an outlet mall, shopping centers, and hotels along highway 6 between College Station and Navasota.
- Graduate school interests
My top three graduate school interests are, The University of Texas School of Law, The University of Houston Law Center, and UCLA School of Law. UT School of Law would have to be my number one choice due to the fact that they set the bar extremely high for their students and expect nothing but perfection which is what I expect from myself. It doesn't hurt that their known for being one of the best law schools in Texas. I'm also interested in U of H because it's closest to home and they have a good reputation that doesn't differentiate much from UT's. As for UCLA I would like to attend their school because according to statistics, attorneys have the highest paid annual salary in the state of California.
- Outside the classroom
I enjoy both watching and playing football, basketball, and baseball/softball. I also enjoy to read and find it as a stress reliever. I enjoy reading law, finance, and investment books.
