David Rodriguez

I am currently a high school student attending Cypress High School in Cypress, CA. I am completing my last semester of my Senior year and I plan to attend the California State University of Fullerton or the Universty of California, Irvine. In college I would like to major in and complete my bachelors in Nursing and later earn my masters in Nursing. As a child, my mother found a career as a Registered Nurse and has also later inspired me to seek a career in the medical field. My mother currently works at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, where I have also visited multiple times. With my mother in the medical field, my father is also responsible for my passion for nursing — he showed me the importance of not only seeking financial stability as a nurse but the responsibility of helping others in this line of work. I found the honor and self-rewarding feeling that’s found in serving others and as I finish my last semester of high school, I will make it my goal to not only help myself in finding a career that will satisfy me and provide for my family, but also serve others and help those that cannot help themselves.
