About
Dawn Lindsey, a South African native, followed her husband who was from Middletown Ohio, to the USA. At the time she was an out-of-work executive, who gave up a senior position with the German Government, and could not land a job in the USA because of the lack of completing her education, due to apartheid.
After discovering there were not many African Americans females in energy, she set her sights on the market. She is the first Black female M/WBE in the fuel distribution industry. After a mentorship under a long time MBE well established in the fuel industry, Ms. Lindsey found NextGen Fuel. NextGen was named the “Minority Business of the Year” by the Dayton Business Journal in 2015, acknowledged by the Ohio State Governor. NextGen was also recognized by the South African Ambassador.
Ms. Lindsey holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and is currently completing a Master’s Degree in Organizational Leadership. Ms. Lindsey was also recently accepted to complete her PhD in Public Policy and Social Change.
DAWN IS PASSIONATE ABOUT EMPOWERING WOMEN, MINORITIES AND COMMUNITIES BOTH IN THE USA AND SOUTH AFRICA.
