Addiction counselor. I dream big and hope to open a center where women can go with their children. Women often find obtaining help as mother's difficult because they may loose their children. I hope to give them a safe place where their children may come as well. Services for the children such as food shelter medical care tutors and activities as well as learning about the disease of addiction. A place of healing for families. I intend to use allies in this field who share my vision. The current prison systems have no real help for women in prison due to addiction. This center will be a place where they heal from trauma and move into recovery. Teaching their children better coping skills. These women are worth it.

I have worked many years at closing the achievement gap in inner city schools namely Detroit Michigan, as part of the Detroit parent network. I'm keenly interested in our inner city youth.
