Throughout my life I have been a very indecisive person, I can say that I constantly live with the fear of failing and not becoming successful. When I say being successful, I don’t simply mean having a good economic status, I mean being able to make my parents proud, who have high hopes for me, being able to become the example to follow for my siblings and not let them down and have something to contribute to my community. Currently I have completed my high school which is the one small achievement that I can say I have achieved and that makes me feel proud of myself. but for me that is not all. I am currently studying at ivy tech major in pre- nursing and working as a certified nursing assistant (cna) with hopes to advance in the nursing field and become a registered nurse (RN). I can say that thanks to my work I am more sure that this is what I want to do. When I was little, I used to say that I wanted to be a nurse because I was always interested in helping others, but it was simply a dream or a saying as a child. As I have grown, my childhood dream of being a nurse is still present today with a better understanding of why. I know it's not going to be easy but that doesn't mean I'm not going to try because I want the skills and tools to help those who need it. And I also understand that the only way to become who I want to be is through education. Unfortunately, we live where having the desire or wanting to continue our education is not enough, we have to have the economic capacity to support it and most of the time we have to struggle like in my case to support and acquire a high level of our education.
