About
I am a dedicated Graduate Student and Research Assistant in the Department of Nutrition at UNC Greensboro. I have a strong background in clinical nutrition, public health, and research. As a Registered Dietitian, I have provided evidence-based nutritional counseling, focusing on chronic disease management, maternal and infant health, and food security. My research experience includes investigating the impact of food insecurity on maternal and infant nutrition, with a particular emphasis on the first 1,000 days of life.
With a passion for community health, advocacy, and education, I have worked on projects addressing complementary feeding practices, bioactive foods, and the role of nutrition in metabolic diseases. Additionally, my leadership experience includes mentoring students, managing research teams, and contributing to public health initiatives. My goal is to bridge the gap between research, clinical practice, and policy to create sustainable nutrition solutions, particularly in underserved communities.
