Debra Hammond

I am a Morgan State University student pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship with a 3.785 GPA and multiple Dean’s List recognitions. My academic and professional journey combines entrepreneurship, leadership, military service, community engagement, and a commitment to helping others succeed. I am the Founder and Executive Director of The Ascend Project, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit focused on helping high school students successfully transition to college, trade school, military service, or the workforce. I also bring extensive leadership and logistics experience from my service in the U.S. Army, where I was recognized for outstanding performance and developed strong skills in leadership, operations, resource management, and teamwork. My goal is to use my education and experiences to become an entrepreneur and community leader who creates opportunities and makes a lasting positive impact.
