Decarius Williams

Hailing from Louisiana with a background in AmeriCorps and advocation in the Sickle cell community, despite suffering from my illness (Sickle Cell Anemia) and my hospitalizations I have served with honor and distinction proving that nothing will stop me from investing in numerous communities that I have assimilated and the people who fill it. It is a complete joy when I am helping another in good faith and purpose that is struggling with to live in pursuit of happiness. From the inception when I set foot on Wiley’s campus, I have searched for ways to give, and technique to inspire, to do good works and build the walls for Wiley so that she can continued her glorious deeds. I as my transcript shows I have struggled with my illness often taking midterms & finals together in order to succeed at my studies. I stayed out for a semester to care for my mother whom had 2 back surgeries. I would get sick somewhere during the semester get out the hospital and to take my finals and midterms, my health is better but I don't let anything stop me prevailing. I also currently serve proudly as Senior Class President at Wiley college and I intern in the Student, Health and Wellness center for mental health under DR.
