I am motivated by works done by role models, which stimulate me to strive hard to accomplish what I intend to do. However, without determination and perseverance motivation might erode away slowly. This is why I always adapt to the motto of my high school, St. Augustine’s College, which says “Perseverance Conquers All”. During my high school years back in Ghana, as a science student, you should be well knowledgeable and capable to handle the burden of the biology, physics and chemistry, which requires motivation and enthusiasm to achieve better grades in the final year. These classes required many independent studies and research, which made me to understand how to research on your own and has strengthen my ability to tackle any research.
During my middle and junior high school year, I handled many leadership role. The role as the senior school prefect in the junior high enlightened the way I approached and handled difficult matters associated to school and real life. As one of the best student in my junior high school back in Ghana, I was chosen into a program named ASK which deals with stereotype of STI diseases. Through this educational program, I noticed and learned many hidden ideas about stereotype shown to people in those situations.
I take education very serious because of being a first generation undergraduate, which has earned me a certificate from the Dean’s list. I am a proud member of the honors program with the aim to gain experience, learn new information and contribute with the ideas I have learnt.
I also engage in other activities apart from education such as music and sports. My passion for music is something I cannot even comprehend, which stimulated me to learn the piano by myself
