Desiree Martin

I am enrolled in the Master of Science in Health Administration (MHA) online program at Grand Canyon University and intend to graduate in January 2025. My primary goal in receiving my MHA degree is to learn how to become an effective leader in healthcare. I want to continue to engage with like-minded scholars, collaborate on research projects, learn from esteemed professors who are leaders in the healthcare field, improve patient outcomes, improve my communication skills, and learn more about management.

I work full-time at a primary care provider’s office for adults on Medicare, and my experiences have made me want to contribute more significantly. I aim to expand my critical thinking, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities, preparing myself for a career that demands higher expertise. Ultimately, my goal is to make a meaningful contribution to patients’ lives by applying advanced knowledge gained during my graduate studies.
