Goals and interests

Career goal

My career in Health Information Management (HIM) would begin with entry-level roles such as a medical records technician or HIM specialist, where I’d focus on data entry and maintaining patient records. As I gain experience, I could progress to mid-level positions like HIM supervisor or data analyst, managing teams and improving health data systems. With further growth, I could advance to roles like Health Information Manager or Director, overseeing departments and ensuring compliance with regulations. I could also specialize by earning certifications such as RHIA or CHDA, opening up opportunities in areas like health data analysis or privacy and security. Ultimately, I might reach an executive role, such as Chief Information Officer, where I’d manage all health information and technology strategies in an organization.

Graduate school interests

My grad school interests are currently open. I intend to continue to research the various schools and programs and come to a decision by Fall 2025.
