Dominique Montes

My name is Dominique Montes and I am on my 3rd year at Reedley College. I am double majoring in animal science and agriculture business with two certificates in equine science and communication studies. I am one of three kids and the only one of the kids with a passion for agriculture. I grew up on a small farm where we had, beef cattle, hogs, and sheep. I showed all livestock through 4-H and the California junior livestock association from the age 9 to 18. I am a herdsmen on the beef unit here on the farm where I manage feeding, breeding, and medical needs for about 50 head of cattle. I have been an ag ambassador for a 1 1/2 years, Vice President for the Aggie club, FFA student field day chair, and on the women's equestrian team. I am transferring to Kansas State University in the fall of 2024 where I plan on majoring in either Ag business, Ag Econ, or Ag sales with a minor in Ag marketing and communications.
