About
I am attending Missouri Western State University with the goal of receiving a degree in Medical Laboratory Science to prepare me for medical school. I have grown up with a strong work ethic due to the perseverance and patience of my parents, and it has helped me to become self-reliant and eager to help others through the experiences I have accumulated. I have belonged to neither clubs nor organizations because my parents raised me and the rest of my siblings to look about at our neighbors and friends who might need help, and focus our energies and time to helping them. Therefore, my experiences are many and varied; I have dug up sod and tilled soil to put in landscaping, painted the interior and exterior of homes, taken out carpet and put in subfloor and hardwood floors, learned how to use power tools and drive machinery, install house fixtures, and more. This is my background, and I believe these accomplishments have helped point me in the direction of my career path; my passion to become a medical doctor is fueled by the knowledge that I can concentrate my energy to helping others overcome sickness and disease, and my familiarity with hard-work will aid me in persevering in this battle. Although I am still on my way to medical school, I can not wait for that next adventure to begin!
