About

My name is Domonique Robinson, and I am currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice at the University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC). Throughout my academic and professional journey, I have remained committed to excellence, leadership, and service to others.
I currently work as a Residential Coordinator with Eckerd Connects at a Job Corps center, where I support and mentor young adults as they work toward achieving their educational and career goals. My professional background also includes case management, youth services, family support, and community-based programs, all of which have strengthened my passion for helping others overcome challenges and reach their full potential.
After completing my bachelor's degree, I plan to return to school to earn a Master of Social Work (MSW). My goal is to expand my ability to serve individuals, children, and families through advocacy, counseling, and trauma-informed support services. Long-term, I hope to establish residential programs and supportive housing opportunities for youth aging out of foster care, families experiencing hardship, and individuals in need of stable housing and life skills development.
As someone who has experienced and overcome personal challenges, I am passionate about creating pathways to success for others. Being recognized by an Honor Society reflects my commitment to academic achievement, leadership, personal growth, and community service. I am honored to be part of a network of scholars dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of others through education, integrity, and lifelong learning.

Goals and interests

Career goal

My intended career path is centered on serving children, families, and vulnerable populations through social services and community-based support programs. After completing my Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, I plan to pursue a Master of Social Work (MSW) to further develop my knowledge and skills in advocacy, case management, counseling, and trauma-informed care.
In the short term, I plan to continue advancing in leadership roles within youth development, residential services, and community programs. My professional goal is to work in positions that allow me to make a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals and families facing challenges such as homelessness, poverty, mental health concerns, and involvement with the child welfare or juvenile justice systems.
Long term, I aspire to establish and operate residential facilities and supportive housing programs throughout the Washington, DC metropolitan area and eventually nationwide. These programs would provide safe housing, life skills training, educational support, employment assistance, and other resources for youth aging out of foster care, families experiencing hardship, and individuals seeking stability and self-sufficiency.
Through my education, professional experience, and commitment to service, I hope to create lasting opportunities that empower people to overcome obstacles and build successful futures.

Graduate school interests

After completing my Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice at the University of Maryland Global Campus, I plan to pursue a Master of Social Work (MSW) at Howard University. My interest in graduate school stems from my passion for helping children, families, and individuals overcome challenges and achieve stability in their lives.
