About
I am a student on a mission. My degree in psychology and sociology allows me to be most effective at communicating and motivating individuals to become their best selves. My business degree has given me the skills to structure these instruments of change through martial arts schools, personal fitness training, and forming a business called Economic Development Mentorship and Coaching. The educational degree I am soon to have inspired me to add a base element through forming a private school (Accelerated Teaching for Children in Homeschool) to provide basic education to children k-12. My final academic degree will be in naturopathic medicine as a doctor, which brings all of what I do together, covering entrepreneurship, martial arts, academics, and finally nutrition and healthy living.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
Naturopathic Medicine. I have practiced martial arts since 1985 and currently own two karate schools: DOCS Karate Spring Valley, and DOCS Karate Campo that I run out of my home. I believe as a master in martial arts my journey has come to a point where everything about the arts leads to healing, and so I believe I am coming into another place in my life where as a naturopathic doctor with a business and education background in degrees I can best share that belief and practice with students with a hope that they too will become healers.
- Graduate school interests
Currently I am finishing a masters degree in educational leadership. This degree supports what I do as a martial arts instructor and certified personal trainer. As a martial arts instructor I am better able to turn our martial arts system into a true school of martial arts with formal curriculum, and teaching, while developing instructors using professional leadership strategies. This also translates well over as a personal trainer. Having this educational experience has also allowed me to form a k-12 private school, incorporating it into our martial arts program.
- Outside the classroom
My hobbies happen to be my profession. I love practicing martial arts. I am active in personal fitness for myself, and love practicing yoga, Qigong (a mind-body exercise form that uses meditation, breathing, and movement to increase energy and enable the body to heal itself). A passionate hobby of mine that has been with me even longer than martial arts is writing. I am proud to say I have written over thirty novels. While sad to say have never seriously pursued professional publication.
