About
My name is Doretha Lester and I live in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I love helping others and chose the field of Psychology to continue on my journey of caring and giving. I really want to work with military individuals suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), or with children that suffer from other mental health disorders. If I can help others to live a healthy, meaningful, successful life, then I am happy. My graduation date is December, 2017 and I hope to land an internship working in the field of Psychology for the Board of Education, Prison System, Rehabilitation Center or Hospital, Government, or any other facility dealing with mental health issues. I have enjoyed the psychology courses that I have take and found it to be both interesting, and educational. I am so excited to be completing this educational journey and look forward to working in the field of Psychology.

- Career goal
My intended job path is to work with the state mental hospital (Government), or Board of Education, in the field of psycholoy, helping individuals that suffer with mental health disorders. Or, to work with military individuals suffering from PTSD and helping them get back on the path to living a healthy, stable life again. I am also interested in working with adolescents and young adults who have mental health disabilities. All of the paths that I have listed will help these individuals to get back on the right path to live a healthy and stable life, with a very bright future.
