About

Hello, my name is Dylan Lipset, and I am a 16-year-old junior at Florida Atlantic University High School, Jupiter Campus, where I also participate in the Max Planck Academy. I am proud to be a fusion of American and Peruvian cultures, and this has shaped who I am curious, hardworking, and deeply committed to helping others. Education has always been at the center of my life. I pursue rigorous honors and dual-enrollment college courses, maintaining a 5.18 weighted GPA while balancing leadership, work, and volunteer commitments. I serve in Student Government, participate in the Undergraduate Research Society, and am an active member of HOSA-Future Health Professionals. I am also proud to belong to the National Junior Honor Society and serve as a member for the National Society of High School Scholars. These experiences have taught me resilience, discipline, and the importance of using knowledge to serve my community.
Service is at the heart of who I am. At Jupiter Medical Center, I volunteer at the Lab, and I assist patients with kindness, empathy, and patience, learning that care is about listening as much as performing tasks. At the Palm Beach Gardens Library, I help young children learn to read, organize bookshelves, and create a welcoming space for learning. Almost every Saturday, I join beach cleanups at the Loggerhead Marine Life Center in Juno Beach, protecting our environment and encouraging others to care for our planet. At my church, I serve as an altar server and Eucharistic minister for both Spanish and English Masses. My faith is my compass, feeding my soul and inspiring me to serve.
Alongside volunteering, I work as a Biology Assistant Teacher, tutoring high school and college students. This challenges me academically, strengthens my leadership, and allows me to help others succeed. I combine this with lab work in biochemistry and molecular genetics, gaining skills that will guide me toward my dream of becoming a physician-scientist. I also help care for my mother, who is sick, and my younger sibling. Supporting my family has taught me empathy, responsibility, and resilience lessons I carry into everything I do.
I care about mental health in my school community, too. Dual-enrollment and honors classes can be stressful, so I created a sports club open to everyone, a place to have fun, relieve stress, and support each other. Leadership, to me, is not only about achievements, but also about fostering community, wellness, and encouragement.Life is not about being perfect. It is about growth, resilience, and using your talents to help others. I have worked hard from a young age to build my skills and knowledge, preparing to achieve my dream of becoming a physician-scientist specializing in biochemistry and genetics. Every hour I spend studying, volunteering, working in the lab, or supporting my family is an investment in this dream. I bring curiosity, dedication, empathy, leadership, and pride in my American-Peruvian heritage. I am ready to join a university that will challenge me, allow me to contribute my passions, and guide me to use science and compassion to make a meaningful impact.
