About
My name is Ebony McIntosh, and I am a proud mother of four, a dedicated student, and a future nurse practitioner with a strong passion for women’s health. Born and raised in the U.S. Virgin Islands, I come from a community-oriented culture that values family, resilience, and care—qualities that have shaped the woman I am today.
Although I became a mother at a young age, I have never let that define or limit me. In fact, my children are my greatest motivation. They inspire me to pursue my dreams with purpose and determination. I am currently working toward earning my Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), with the ultimate goal of becoming a nurse practitioner and opening a birthing center back home in the Virgin Islands. My vision is to create a space where women feel empowered, loved, and at peace during one of the most sacred moments of their lives—bringing a new life into the world.
I’ve always had a deep interest in women’s health and the unique needs of mothers, especially within underrepresented and underserved communities. I want to provide care that is not only clinically sound but also culturally sensitive and emotionally supportive. My dream birthing center will reflect those values—a nurturing environment known for its warmth, professionalism, and commitment to holistic maternal care.
In addition to my academic and professional goals, I enjoy college basketball, cooking, and spending quality time with my family. As a Capricorn, I am naturally driven, organized, and determined. These traits have helped me balance motherhood, school, and life’s many responsibilities. Being family-oriented is not just a personality trait—it’s a lifestyle that motivates me to create a better future for myself, my children, and the families I hope to one day serve.
Becoming a member of the Honor Society represents more than just financial support; it’s an investment in a future nurse who is passionate about making a meaningful difference in her community.
