About

I earned a Bachelor of Architecture with Honors from Istanbul Technical University, Türkiye's leading architecture school, whose program holds European diploma equivalency and NAAB recognition in the US. After graduation, I worked as an Architectural Designer, contributing to commercial and residential projects. My responsibilities included architectural design, preparing construction drawing packages, and coordinating communication among multidisciplinary project teams between Türkiye and the US. I am currently pursuing a Master of Architecture at the Illinois Institute of Technology as an Advanced Standing student, where I have maintained a perfect 4.0/4.0 GPA. My academic excellence and international professional experience have equipped me with strong design, technical, and collaborative skills while reinforcing my commitment to advancing sustainable and innovative architectural practice.

Goals and interests

Career goal

My intended career path is to become a licensed architect in the United States, contributing to the design of innovative, sustainable, and community-focused built environments. By completing my Master of Architecture at the Illinois Institute of Technology and fulfilling the requirements for architectural licensure, I aim to expand my expertise in design, construction, and project leadership. Drawing on my international education and professional experience, I aspire to work with multidisciplinary teams, deliver high-quality architectural solutions, and create spaces that enhance people's quality of life while addressing contemporary environmental and social challenges.

Graduate school interests

As a Master of Architecture student at the Illinois Institute of Technology, I have also been admitted as a Teaching Assistant, providing an opportunity to strengthen my teaching, mentoring, and research skills alongside my academic studies. Looking ahead, I am interested in pursuing a Ph.D. in Architecture or a related field to contribute to architectural research, higher education, and the development of innovative solutions for the built environment.

Outside the classroom

Outside of my academic and professional pursuits, I enjoy creative and wellness-oriented activities that complement my work in architecture. I am skilled in charcoal drawing and have developed advanced artistic techniques through years of practice. I also enjoy digital illustration and have designed album cover artwork for a friend's music band. In addition, I have a passion for sewing, which led me to establish a small online business creating and selling handmade pouches. To maintain balance and well-being, I regularly practice yoga, which helps me cultivate focus, discipline, and mindfulness in both my personal and professional life.
