President's List
I was placed on the President's List at New River Community College for the Fall 2023 semester for having taken 12 college-level semester hours or more, attained a minimum grade point average of 3.5, and earned a minimum of 20 semester hours.
Goals and interests
- Career goal
I intend to own a music studio, where I will teach students of many ages how to play an instrument and learn the value of music. I also plan to lead a worship team in a church setting.
- Graduate school interests
I am interested in attending a graduate program to receive my master's and doctorate in Music Education, so I can teach music on a collegiate level.
- Outside the classroom
I am an avid reader, having read over 2,600 chapter books since I began counting in 2015.
I also love music and have been training in classical piano for the past fourteen years and have played classical violin for the last eight years.
I have led worship in several settings including my local church and a drug and alcohol recovery program.
I also love snowboarding with my family and friends, and enjoy pursuing that on the weekends during the winter months.
Finally, I enjoy hiking, backpacking and spending time in the outdoors, particularly the mountains.
