About

After doing three years at a community college and switching my majors several times, I finally found what I wanted to do for my career. That was to become a Registered Dietitian and educate people to, “Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food," quoted by Hippocrates. When finally deciding on what I wanted to do, I was unaware of how difficult this road would be. I had to move out of my parents house, take on two part time jobs and study for classes that really challenged me. But I am the person that when she decides it is something I want, it doesn't matter how hard the road is to travel because the results are worth it. I look forward to my last year of undergraduate school and hope to be accepted into the internship here at ETSU where I will become registered in less three years if I am accepted into the program. While I am waiting I am working and volunteering under a Registered Dietitian and working with housing staff at ETSU.

Goals and interests

Career goal

I do hope one day to work in long-term facilities as a registered dietitian. I served at a nursing home for two weeks and feel in love with the elders there. Giving them the respect they have earned and providing them with care for the remainder of their life is something I believe is to be most rewarding.

Graduate school interests

My first choice of university to finish my degree in is East Tennessee State University. I have truly come to love and be inspired by the instructors there. It makes me want to strive harder for my dream job and future in dietetics.

Outside the classroom

I love to serve in any way I can wither its with my church, my job or school I love supporting a cause I am passionate about. I also love horse back riding, reading, watching historical movies, swimming, hiking, traveling, and ill be up for trying anything at least once or twice.
