About
When I first looked at the word summary I didn't exactly know where to start. So many things have brought me to this point in my life. I made choices in high school and my first two years of college that brought me to a place where I needed to make a choice. I chose life and decided to change mine. I went to treatment and got sober and have been since October of 2011. It has been a crazy almost three years. I have realized that I am very smart and capable human being and can succeed in school if I put in the effort and time. I worked really hard to get accepted into the College of Design at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities for the Fall of 2014. I have always had a love for the world of fashion and design and am really looking forward to starting my classes and all the opportunities that await the coming years of my education.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
My goal is to design. I have always loved bridal wear. There is something very special about a woman on her wedding day. I think it would be so amazing to create the dress that they are going to wear on one of the most important days of their lives. I have also been very interested in being a fashion buyer, but my main goal is to design.
- Graduate school interests
Grad School has always been an interest but I haven't put much thought into the idea because of my focus on finishing my Bachelors but if Grad School comes about, I would look into schools in California or New York.
- Outside the classroom
I enjoy anything active. Soccer, Basketball and Volleyball are the main sports I enjoy playing but I am up for anything. I love being outdoors. Biking, swimming, boating, skiing, jet skiing, etc. If its outside I probably will enjoy doing it. I love finding new music that nobody knows about, I love art and reading and going to museums and bookstores. I enjoy writing short stories and poems. I enjoy spending time with my friends and family and traveling to new places and taking pictures of everything I see.
