Goals and interests
- Career goal
I would like to work as an Educator at a museum, specifically of the Civil War era. I am actually doing a combined Bachelor degree, History & Politics.
- Graduate school interests
Civil War (19th century), African American studies, Slavery & Abolition.
I am taking classes offered by professors who specialize in these areas.
I docent at a Civil War-era home; am the Secretary/Editor for the Roanoke Civil War Round Table; I conduct tours of civil war sites in Virginia, West Virginia, and Maryland. Have obtained Continuing Education certificates from American Battlefield Trust.
I am a member of the Friends of Lucy Breckinridge and we present history programs at a Civil War-era home.
I have created a Powerpoint presentation on Death & Mourning in the Civil War and have presented it at various Round Tables and museums.- Outside the classroom
