Ella Limon

Scholarship Committee:

Ella is the youngest of five daughters. The oldest got married right out of high school, sister #2 is living an adventure in Hawaii and 3 & 4 are attending N.A.U. Ella believes a higher education is her best path in life. She is self motivating and a risk taker. My favorite trait is Ella’s conscientiousness. She will go out of her way to help a friend in need. Ella is aware of how her actions affect others. Ella makes deliberate positive decisions, engaging in problem solving and actively focuses on her goal. She is optimistic with any challenges she may face. She thinks for herself.
As parents & a school teacher, we have tried to teach fairness, honesty, kindness, responsibility, & integrity in our 5 daughters. Ella uses her time wisely by making good choices, balancing playing two sports a season, participating in Student Council & volunteering at The Humane Society.
Watching Ella navigate the complexities of taking advanced courses in high school and summer college courses while maintaining her commitment to academic excellence and her leadership in sports fills us with immense pride. She also bought her own car with money she earned at the age of 16.
Her day consist of a self driven force to work, all on autopilot, off to school to take 5 A.P. Classes, sports, study group, runs 2 miles, takes our dogs for a walk, eat, sleep & repeat. It’s all her! She has a plan, is organized, & takes care of her physical health. She practices mindfulness and asks for help when needed. She focuses on what matters!
Her unique achievements, academic strengths, personal qualities is why she deserves this award. Her passion & perseverance keep moving her closer to her goals.
This award will significantly contribute to her educational goals & future aspirations.
