About
I have a double B.S. in Marine Science and Geology – compliments four wonderful years at the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Fl; and an M.S. in Geology (focus on geochemistry) from George Washington University. Following a few years of employment as a researcher at the Smithsonian Institution - Department of Mineral Sciences, I can proudly boast 14 fabulous years of teaching environmental geology, physical geology, and geo-hazards and land-use planning at various colleges and universities throughout Washington D.C., Maryland, and Virginia. Having gained a wealth of experience through writing and publishing several college geology textbooks, I had the pleasure of spending 7 years as a senior technical writer for NASA’s Earth Science Data and Information Systems Project. Today, I am the senior technical writer on the Business Development Team for Science, Systems, and Applications Inc. (SSAI), a fantastic science and engineering company based in Maryland - and loving every minute of it! Currently, I am in graduate school seeking a second masters in Forensic Medicine, where I plan to pursue forensic toxicology and specialize in cold case resolution!
