Emanuel Yousef

I currently senior at Normandy High School I am taking two AP classes that are both very relevant and apply to my future goals of becoming a Psychiatrist and an Astrophysicist. The two classes that I’m talking about are AP Psychology and Biotechnology Honors/AP Biology. The field of Psychology is where one half of my heart lies, and the field of Physics/Astronomy is where the other half lies.
The love I have for the human mind and the unexplored corners of the universe is what shapes me as a person. My dreams of becoming a Psychiatrist and an Astrophysicist will come true one day, and I know this for a fact. Although the two studies quite vary from one another, these are both courses that are my passion, and I wish for them both to be relevant in my life in the future. Whenever I think of the future and pursuing my goals, I think of my idol Neil deGrasse Tyson, a world renowned astrophysicist and doctor who once said, “I have a personal philosophy in life: If somebody else can do something that I'm doing, they should do it. And what I want to do is find things that would represent a unique contribution to the world - the contribution that only I, and my portfolio of talents, can make happen.”
