Emilee Teran

I am a third year undergraduate at Rutgers University, majoring in Human Resource Management and minoring in Psychology. Human Resources piqued my interest this past year when I got first-hand experience managing my own team at my last job. I loved the idea of being able to help everyone stay on track and work more efficiently, while creating a strong team bond among my coworkers.
At my last job, I oversaw the front desk and keeping track of all information that is relayed to me by the customers. Once I receive the information, I then relay it to all the necessary members in the back so that operations can run as efficiently and smoothly as possible. Within a day, I communicate with and compile information from over 100 customers both new and old.
Upon graduation, I hope to use my skills and knowledge to work as a Human Resource Manager at a corporate company. I plan to help create a healthy work environment that has open communication with others and a strong bond among team-members and coworkers, so that we can put forth a positive company image.

Something About Myself:
I have read an 800-page book in under 24 hours. I have also read a 6-book series (2,707 pages in total) within 5 days. I absolutely love reading and if I have time on my hands and nothing to do, I will complete an 800+ page book like it is nothing. In a perfect world with no responsibilities, I would do nothing but read all day long! It is true when they say, “A reader lives a thousand lives before they die.” – George R.R. Martin
