I'm very eager to learn more about my field of Cinematography so that I can use the skills I learn to contribute to the community I'm in. I can't wait to see where it takes me and the lives I can impact!

Goals and interests

Career goal

I began as a Mass Communications/ Journalism major and enjoyed the skills I learned from it, however my passion has been with video production since high school. I'm hoping in the future to use my passion of video and the skills from journalism to be part of a video production business. I already make wedding videos, promotional videos, and different media for various church, school, and job related projects.

Graduate school interests

I wouldn't mind getting the MFA Cinematography degree from Stephen F. Austin when I'm done with my bachelors. I've never had in mind to be a teacher, but I think if I had the credentials I wouldn't mind teaching people about film. Getting an MFA would be one more step toward that path if I desired to go that route.

Outside the classroom

Freelance Videography- For about 4 years now I've developed, created, and edited numerous video projects for church, school, and outside jobs. It started out as a hobby making home videos with my family, and it ended up growing into the thing I'd love to make a career. Other hobbies of mine besides making videos include reading, playing the violin, and skating.
