About

In August of 2020, I graduated from San Francisco State University with a B.A. in psychology as well as a B.A. in philosophy with an emphasis in law. I am a graduate student at the University of Colorado, Denver pursuing a Master's in Criminal Justice degree. I recently began research for my thesis, focusing on the collateral consequences of single convictions and how those consequences lead to high recidivism rates. In addition to being a graduate student, I am currently serving as an AmeriCorps member with the Rural Alliance for Dignity in Alamosa, Colorado. I serve as a case manager at the only homeless shelter in the San Luis Valley and an emergency food coordinator for the Food Bank Network of the San Luis Valley. My experience with the Rural Alliance for Dignity has inspired me to pursue a career in public service with the goal of facilitating change in individual's lives.
