About
For as long as I can remember I have always wanted to be a nurse. No one in my family is in healthcare so people did not understand why I would want to go into the healthcare field other than it's a calling. So here I am in college with my major as Nursing. After I graduate and work as a travel nurse I plan to go back to school to complete my Doctorate in Nursing. I have had personal experiences with epilepsy. I was not responding to epilepsy medication so I had two brain surgeries that has cured my seizures. After graduating with my Doctorate I want to become a Nurse Practitioner and specialize in Neurology with a focus in Epilepsy. I want to be the person that can look patients in the eye and say "I know exactly what you are going through and understand because I have been through it myself."

Goals and interests
- Career goal
I will graduate with my Associate Degree in Nursing in the Spring of 2019. After receiving my Associate Degree, I will be enrolling into The University of Kentucky College of Nursing to obtain my Bachelors of Science in Nursing while working as a Registered Nurse. Once I have received my Bachelors Degree I plan to become a travel nurse and work at hospitals in the country that have Neurology Intensive Care Units or an Epilepsy Monitoring Unit. I am extremely passionate about Neurology and Epilepsy and what to learn as much as I can from different hospitals. Once I have traveled to several hospitals I plan to go get my Doctorate Degree in Nursing from The University of Kentucky or Vanderbilt University and become a Nurse Practitioner and specialize in Neurology.
- Graduate school interests
After working as a travel nurse around the United States, I plan to get my Doctorate Degree in Nursing from The University of Kentucky or Vanderbilt University and work as a Nurse Practitioner who specializes in Neurology.
- Outside the classroom
When I am not working or studying for school I love to read books on Neurology and Epilepsy. I am a very creative person and love to paint for hours at night. I use to play volleyball when I was younger and coached in high school. I am looking to coach club volleyball this year.
