I am a graduate student at The Universiry of North Carolina at Pembroke in the Department of Nursing in the Clinical Nurse Leader specialization. My goal is to become a Family Nurse Practicioner. I currently work as a Registered Nurse in various acute care medical-surgical units in Charlotte, NC. I have a passion in ensuring patients receive the best quality care by using evidence based practice.

Goals and interests
- Career goal
After obtaining my MSN and gaining the Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL) credentials, I plan on obtaining my post graduate certificate in Family Nurse Practioner. As both a CNL and FNP I would like to concentrate on promoting healthcare literacy, prevention and maintenance across the life span, focusing primarily on low income families.

Im enjoying the access to the vast amount of research and literature available to me as a graduate student that I can use to improve my clinical practice.
- Outside the classroom
I love to exercise and do activities outdoors. I mostly love running after my toddler daughter. I also enjoy practicing my advanced assessment skills I am currently learning !
