About

My name is Emily Shepherd. I'm currently residing in Charleston, Tennessee just outside the vibrant city of Chattanooga. I am in my first year of University of Kentucky's Online Arts Administration Program and loving every minute of it. In addition to going to school, I work full time as the contract coordinator for a top producing real estate team in the area. When I'm not working or doing schoolwork, I love to give back to my community through volunteering at the animal shelter, assisting with local theatre troupes, and helping people get organized. I co-founded a personal organization company called Beau & Bonny, we help people in the area organize their homes and offices. I make time each day to spend with my husband flipping houses. We're currently working on restoring our own 100 year old farmhouse. Thank you so much for stopping by my profile!

Goals and interests

Career goal

It's been my dream to open a theatre for many years but the goal to open a community theatre in Chattanooga that offers low cost classes and community outreach has only recently come to fruition. Theatre has had a tremendous impact on my life in many positive ways from a young age. I believe a community theatre will be a great source of positivity and artistic expression for the people of this area, predominately the youth. Children in Chattanooga are recruited into gangs as young as eleven years old. I believe if children felt they had a safe place to go, a group of people who cared for them, and a talent they could nourish that they wouldn't resort to gang violence. I look forward to this adventure and seeing the impact it will have on the Tennessee Valley.
