About

I am a graduate of the University of Maine at Augusta with a Bachelors of Science in Mental Health and Human Services with a focus on substance use counseling.

I have worked on the Makwi Project with the Penobscot Nation Health Center as a Project Coordinator. The focus of this project was to bring education to the indigenous communities on SBIRT and Motivational Interviewing techniques as every interaction is a chance for potential intervention. We conducted several educational gatherings for the community health centers and worked to create population specific intervention questionnaires.

I have also worked with Maine Family Planning on their Reproductive Empowerment Project as an Education Coordinator. I worked outreach to connect with high risk women and men by visiting homeless and domestic violence shelters, victims of human trafficking, and substance use facilities. I provided on-site education and STI testing, with access to birth control and treatment via telemed with a live provider.

When Covid happened, I found myself in a completely new field as a DG Interconnections Project Coordinator with the utility. Working with renewable energy is great, but I have transitioned to a new position with Line Operations as a coordinator, and I absolutely love it! The exposure to entire utility and all that it does is amazing. I have decided to go back to school for my MBA in Business Analytics as I know this degree will help me exceed in every possible way. I will work my way up in the utility and live beyond my expectations.

I look forward to my future success, and cannot wait to see where it takes me.
